SOYA: further performance studies - interim field observations

Hover the cursor over the  images to see treated vs untreated

This section presents visual field observations from a soya crop trial conducted under commercial farming conditions in Mashonaland, Zimbabwe.
The purpose of this trial was to observe crop performance under standard agronomic practices with and without the inclusion of VITALARCH™ as part of the crop management programme.

Dosage split equally over three applications

Seed treatment with 7g VITALARCH™ and planted 24 November

23rd December - Foliar spray with 7gms VITALARCH™ in solution

8th Jan - Foliar spray with 7gms VITALARCH™ in solution

Field Observations

Under the specific trial conditions observed, differences in plant development were noted between treated and untreated plants.

Observed differences included:

    •    Variation in pod development

    •    Differences in growth stage progression

    •    Variation in overall plant structure and vigour

In this instance, the treated plants showed more advanced pod development, while untreated plants were still predominantly in the flowering stage at the time of observation.

Soya - untreated

Visual Comparison

  • Treated plant showing developed pods at time of observation

  • Untreated plant remaining in flowering stage at same time point

  • Root development and nodulation comparison under trial conditions

Interpretation

  • These observations reflect differences recorded under specific field conditions and trial timing.

  • The inclusion of VITALARCH™ in the crop programme is intended to support natural plant processes and overall plant performance.

  • Observed differences should be interpreted within the context of the full crop management programme and environmental conditions present during the trial period.

Key Takeaways

  • VITALARCH™ was successfully integrated into a standard crop management programme

  • Visual differences in plant development were observed under the trial conditions

  • Observations indicate potential for supporting plant performance under real-world farming conditions
